Thin King Press is a factory of eclectic graphic images and ideas, primarily featured on hand screened t-shirts, posters and stickers, most of which are available for purchase on this web site (either by the piece or wholesale).
Steve Lee is the creative force behind Thin King Press based in Albuquerque, New Mexico (that's USA to you greenhorns). Steve has been knocking out t-shirts, stickers and posters for the Downtown Albuquerque Band/Bar scene, local tattoo artists and motorcycle clubs for years. At the same time, Steve has been producing his own brand of parodies and original artwork, ...the result of a steady dose of Mad Magazine and National Geographic. In addition to retailing through smaller national and local independent clothing stores, Thin King Press has more recently crossed the Pacific and entered the lucrative Japanese clothing market. Some of these images have now worked their way into the 3rd dimension by way of hand carved, cast resin sculptures. These highly detailed sculptures KU the tiki god, a set of dragons, a Day of the Dead skull and a Jolly Roger are now available for purchase as collectible pieces or as stick shifter ornaments. The Mayan glyphs, as well as many other sculptures (that are now cooking), will soon be available in cast resin form. Artistically adept in a wide range of media, Steve is self-taught, by either osmosis or by working at jobs in various screenprinting shops around town. You can now peruse a gallery of some of Steves work including original drawings and paintings that round out this web site. t-shirt designs © 2002-2005 thin-king-press.com; web site design © 2003-2006 word of eye; graphics and text © thin-king-press.com |
